Providence Spirituality Centre is a warm, inviting, peace-filled Retreat House, on the grounds of the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul. The lovely thirty-three acre setting, spotted with paths, benches, old trees and patches of delightful flowers make it an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the Kingston, Ontario community. The Centre is most especially a place where you can take time apart to rest, renew your spirit and reconnect in a meaningful way with God, the Source of all peace and joy.
Our “oasis of peace” in the midst of the historic “limestone city” of Kingston offers a restful, friendly environment as well as access to many delightful local and regional opportunities. Kingston, located on the eastern end of Lake Ontario and mid-way between Montreal and Toronto, is home to Queen’s University, the Kingston Symphony Orchestra and excellent choirs and theatre groups. Here one can enjoy an inviting waterfront, a 1000 Islands cruise, conservation areas, concerts, plays, historic sites, public lectures and fine restaurants, – all accessed by public transit. Other nearby attractions include beautiful Prince Edward County to the west, and the Rideau Canal and Ottawa to the east.
