On Saturday May 5th, nearly 140 people gathered in the dining room of Rosary Hall in Edmonton to mark its closing after 97 years of service as a refuge for women from the Edmonton area.
Following a welcome from Sister Diane Brennen, Emcee Sister Jeannette Filthaut invited several people to express their words of appreciation to the Sisters of Rosary Hall for their service: Monsignor Hamilton, Vicar General of Edmonton, June Clarke from Alberta Health, Myron Foley represented families of residents, Mitzi Sciolvetto represented staff of Rosary Hall and Crystal Arney spoke on behalf of residents.
Our ministry at Rosary Hall gives us the opportunity to live out our Chapter 2003 Directional statement. ‘To continue our present ministries with renewed energy.’
