Rt. Rev. P.T. O'Reilly
Bishop of Springfield
My Lord,

You are already aware that the death of our lamented Mother M. John, which occurred a year ago, necessitated some changes in the offices of our Community. The election, which was retarded by the absence of His Lordship, the Bishop, took place a short time ago and in filling the offices, the former Superior at Holyoke, Sister M. Aloysius was elected Secretary at the Mother House. The Community have seen fit to fill the vacancy thus made by appointing Sister M. of Providence a Superior of the Mission, and as she has been for some years connected with our affairs in Holyoke, it is hoped the arrangement will prove satisfactory to your Lordship and to all interested in the works of Charity entrusted to our Sisters in your Diocese.

Tendering the kindest wishes in my own behalf & that of the Community, I beg leave to remain in most profound reverence
Your Lordship's Very Obedient
Sister Mary Edward Supr.
