Aug. 21, 1884 - To General Superior Sisters of Providence Montreal from General Superior Sr. M. Edward, Kingston ON
House of Providence, Montreal
Our congratulations on your re-election though tardy may be acceptable when proffered with the assurance that it was only yesterday we were informed by a letter received from Holyoke that your General Elections had taken place. The result must be gratifying to the Community inasmuch as it secures to them for another term the continuance of your wise and maternal administration. We do not know if any changes have occurred among the elective offices, but to the members of your Council we tender our most respectful and cordial good wishes for their success in their arduous and responsible duties. Asking for our little Community a remembrance in your prayers, and for myself personally the same favor.
