COME...

These groups provide opportunities to enrich your life, by meeting with others for a purpose important to you and to them. You need to register in advance. Programs are by donation and will continue past January.

Questers*** (Come learn)

If you love to learn and share new ideas, can tolerate varied opinions, and hope to help shape the future of our world, ask about joining this lively discussion group.

The group chooses the topics. The ones for this Fall set of meetings include items from the fields of Science, Health, Politics, Theology, Ecology and Sociology.

We do not use a lecture format. Every participant privately researches each topic and is then prepared to present what they have discovered.

The number of participants is limited to 9 and your schedule needs to allow you to attend regularly.

Fridays 7:00 to 8:45 p.m., Sept. 29, Oct. 13, 20, 27, Nov. 10, 17, 24, Dec. 1, 8

Visio Divina*** (Come pray) NEW

The method of prayer, in which one begins with a period of silent reflection on an object or picture, is called Visio Divina. As the members share their reflections, the experience becomes deeper and richer.

These two sessions, will help you to see if this way of approaching the Divine, can be helpful for you.

Mondays 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., Oct. 23, Nov. 6

Lectio Divina*** (Come pray) NEW

If you sometimes use passages from the Christian Bible as an entry to prayer, or you would like to try this approach, then join us for these two sessions.

Hopefully, the shared reflections of the group members will open the treasure of holy scripture for you.

Mondays 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., Oct. 30 , Nov. 13

Gentle Fitness*** (Come move) NEW

If you have attended Visio Divina, or Lectio Divina, and wish to remain for 30 minutes of very gentle exercise, before going home, then this program is for you.

No special clothing or equipment is needed. The aim is to move as many joints as possible, gently doing what you can. Sr. Kay will lead.

Mondays 11:00 to 11:30 a.m., Oct. 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13
