Chulucanas, Peru

In 1975, at the request of Bishop McNabb who was looking for Sisters to help with his diocese, Sr. Josephine Doiron, a member of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul went to Chulucanas to do ministry. Father Akilino Gonzales, Sr. Agnes Klein and Sr. Josephine Doiron formed the team that worked on the Leadership Formation Program. The Leadership Formation Program included helping the people build their own self-sufficient, authentic Christian communities in Chulucanas. The Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul's ministry in Chulucanas came to an end in October 1985.
