Aug. 1, 1895 – To Mr White Separate Schools Inspector, Toronto ON from General Superior Sr. M. Edward, Kingston ON

Aug. 1, 1895
My Dear Mr. White,

Your kind letter just received and I hasten to thank you for the information contained therein.

To be candid with you I did not feel that so large a sum as was expended last year could be afforded this, but according to your letter a chance is given with not much additional cost.

Now the next difficulty is time. Our annual retreat opens on the 13th inst. and only next week is at our disposal, but if you, with your usual goodness, will secure a suitable person who could be here Monday we would have five days of the week for work that would aid us very much I am certain.

Any teacher you secure can be accommodated here at the Convent with a room and board.

Hoping that I am not asking too much of you, I am as ever,
Yours sincerely grateful
Mother M. Edward, Sup. Gen.
