Dear Madam,

Your letter and photo received. I can make a very fine portrait from subject. You ask what size would look best for a full fig. as shown in Photo. I think about 30 x 50 size of canvas would look best that would make the subject about 3/4 fig. life size. There must be a suitable distance above head, also margin below feet. It will be a great deal larger than His Lordships as that is 24 x 30. I would not advise that size for a full figure for it would only bring the face three inches. I will make it as reasonable as possible for $30.00 thirty dollars frame and all or for twenty-four $24.00 without frame or glass. I would rather frame it myself then I would know it was framed right. It will cost no more for packing with or without frame.

I have selected a nice Gilt Frame, or Walnut & Copper combination, they are seven inches wide and very handsome and of the latest design.
