W.M. Ramsay, Manager,
The Standard Life Assurance Co.,
Montreal
Dear Sir:

In reply to your request at the 25th inst. I beg to inform you that it was with the approbation of the Archbishop that I sent you the renewal forms of our Insurance Policy, as this was the arrangement made with your company by His Grace for all negotiating a loan, and these same instructions has he given the priests throughout the Archdiocese.

I am sorry not to be able to comply with your request in this particular and hope you may consider the above sufficiently satisfactory.

Yours respectfully,
Mother M. Edward, Sup. Gen.
