Our Story

The Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul have 165 years of stories to tell.

The Archives has temporarily discontinued reference services while we prepare our collections for relocation. The Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul are partnering with the Archdiocese of Kingston and with the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph to build a purpose-built archival facility in Kingston. The new state-of-the art facility will house all three archival collections. The Archives of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul is unable to offer reference services or provide research access to archival materials until Spring 2027 at the earliest. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare our collections for the move to the new archival facility.
